About VGFD
Valley Grassroots for Democracy is one of the largest Democratic Clubs in the San Fernando Valley. We support clean money, healthcare for all, election integrity, fiscal responsibility, and an end to the war in Iraq. And we support candidates who support those ideals. We are committed to win in 2010 while increasing the Democratic majority in the House and Senate.

HEALTHCARE: FACT AND FICTION

Join us for an in-depth discussion about the Affordable Healthcare Act.

Diane Fitzpatrick RN and Lea Sally will join us to give us the facts on this important issue.

This will provide you with talking points and ways to rebut the misinformation we will all come up against this year. Given the lies being spread about this act it is important as activists that we know how to address the things we may hear from relatives and friends. Be prepared and informed.

PIZZA AND A MOVIE

After the meeting we will show the wonderful documentary:
Please Vote For Me
This film covers the election of a Student Council in China. See what it is like to practice democracy in a place where they have never had it. This documentary has won many awards and is both funny and informative.

$5 dollars will get you pizza to enjoy with the movie.

Check out the trailer here: http://pleasevoteforme.org/

Our meeting will take place on Saturday, May 19, at 10:00 am at the State Building Auditorium, 6150 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys. The healthcare portion of the meeting will last until about noon and we'll show the movie after that.
