Re "Romney addresses Mormonism, more" (Dec. 7)

Mitt Romney said, "Americans tire of those who would jettison their beliefs, even to gain the world." Huh? Apparently Romney, the flip-flopping prophet of GOP profit, doesn't understand the U.S. Constitution or that the U.S. is still a secular nation with freedom of religion.

Romney is trying to convince the far-right Christians that he would continue to carry on President Bush's intolerance, torture, war, greed and the abandonment of the poor, the middle class, the law and the Constitution. Bush's far-right Christians and the Cheney/Rove neocons have never represented mainstream American values.
